The application of knowledge is a key success factor to learning. This class focuses on the practical application of project management principles by managing a project from beginning to end with a software-based project simulation package. The simulator reinforces the importance of properly resourcing tasks on a project, managing the critical path, effective communication and utilizing earned value reporting to keep the project within cost and budget. As a result, the students are more prepared to apply good project management practices to real life situations.
