This unique and highly flexible consultative program assists PMOs to implement and effectively manage sustainable project management improvement that meets the organization’s strategic needs.

Many project management (PM) improvement programs and the organizations that promote them arise and disappear within a few years of life.  While this may be fine if the organization has been left with a self improving process, it is more usually a sign that there was a failure to meet expectations and to justify the existence of PM to the senior sponsors who ultimately fund and support it.

Prerequisites

  • A basic understanding of project management - a fundamentals course or equivalent

  • Three years PM related experience

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this program, participants should be able to:

  • Work within or with the PMO to achieve a sustainable highly effective project management capability in its organization.

  • Define the current state of the PMO and its vision, goals, objectives, strategies and plans

  • Identify key issues and develop action plans to achieve them within an overall PM improvement strategy

  • Monitor and adjust to achieve and sustain optimal performance.

  • Change agents.

Senior managers, clients, and other stakeholders can be engaged in parts of the program to ensure buy-in and facilitate change.
